The Boca Chita Water Taxi takes approximately 45 minutes one way and can be arranged at any time of day that you wish. Boca Chita is approximately 9 miles east of the boarding location, at the Dante Fascell Visitor Center. This is a great way to get a taste of what Biscayne National Park has to offer and the only way to take camping gear to the island without your own boat. Load your camping gear on the boat and ship out for adventure!!

The Water Taxi and walking tour to Boca Chita are about 2 and half to 3 hours long, depending on weather conditions. It takes about 45 Minutes to arrive one way to the island. The walking tour consists of opening your eyes and ears for the great historical value and experience that the island has endured and survived to be where & what it is today for your viewing pleasure. Encounter The lighthouse that was originally built under the direction and influence of millionaire Mark Honeywell in 1937. This is a great adventure when you explore the narrow Mangrove trail through the heart of the island to discover Mystery and wonder so awesome that we don't want to ruin it for you on the website, but yet experience it for yourself.
